here's a quick thought that get's evolution on your windows desktops 
right now. initiates migration
to linux  in your organization, sandboxes your internet, eases 
maintenance, etc.

get an x sessions on your windows desktops.
cygwin, vncserver, whatever...

configure linux server for evolution, ogo, whatever. presto, evolution 
on windows.
add on all the wonderful features of linus and you have an excellent way 
to introduce
open source to your windows clients without the fud of removing windows 
from their desktops
or making any scary changes to the network.

yes, novell's purpose is to make lot's o' money selling their 
proprietary stuff.

this is a step in the right direction, but it is also an indication of 
the fear the industry has towards microsoft that they're
giving away this much.  the novell execs i met at linux world 2004, were 
really struggling with the open source
development model and the gpl idea in general.  how to include the 
community in the process, etc.
