Keywords vs. Categories

Hi Folks! I've been looking through bugzilla and the mailing list archives for a clear distinction between Keywords and Categories. I've filed a bug http://bugzilla.opengroupware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1249 to clean this up, and I'm hoping to have a better understanding of the differences and/or similarities between keywords and categories. For example, in the person table in the db, there are fields for "keywords", and another for "associated_categories". In my db, I don't have any information in the "associated_categories" field, but I do in "keywords". My "keywords" on a person are an aggregation of several categories, which are individually editable when editing the contact. Could someone explain the use of keywords and categories in the following areas: Contacts Enterprises/Companies Projects Tasks Categories and Keywords could be useful on Calendar entries... is there a reason why they aren't listed on the webui entry screen, but a "keywords" field exists in the date_x table in the db?
