I agree that everything requested can be done with Plone, and very
likely in a better way. The matter is who can do this and when.
The issues I have with Plone (as installed) are
a) the current storage system is a mess and hard to deal with
b) its a resource hog, even though the docs site has much less hits
c) editing is unnecessarily hard (the nonsensical Plone "publish"
system)
d) its hard (for us) to fix the layout to match the main site
e) you are the only OGo guy who knows how to deal with Plone, and then
you are not an expert on it either
Again: I _know_ that there are Zope/Plone solutions for _all_ those
issues. Its just that we lack the experts and the time for that.
The reason we consider a Wiki is that its likely way easier to
install, adjust and maintain. And: that we have a volunteer (Mario)
who wants to actively setup and maintain the system.
Greets,
Helge
