I stand corrected.  Plone would make this really
easily, with groups, roles and workflow.  People could
submit all sorts of content, then a reviewer could
approve it, which would ensure that no spam occurs on
the main site, and that the content is appropriate for
the project.

I got the impression that Chris was "roadblocked" in
some way because of a few things he mentionned.  Maybe
the roadblocks are administrative or time related in
nature, as he mentionned that he needed to co-ordinate
activities like punching holes in the firewall.

Ok, maybe I overreacted (haven't had my morning coffee
yet!), but I was stepping up to "defend" Chris,
because he's been doing good work for OGo, on top of
running his own business.  OGo isn't the only thing
he's working on, like many others on this list.  I
commend Mario for stepping up, and volunteering to
tackle this.  I may have misinterpreted in the call
for discussion that it was pretty much "decided" at
LinuxTag that the website should be a Wiki.  I know
people will always recommend stuff they use; my point
was more to the effect of re-using infrastructure we
already have.

I may have also misinterpreted Chris' statement of
"enjoy and good luck" as that he was offended by
having his comments overlooked.  My two year old was
fussing away in my ear, so I was kinda rushed in
writing my last mail.  If I have offended anyone, my
sincere apologies.  I merely wanted to stress the
importance of giving everyone's ideas a fair shake
before important decisions are made.

I know... your dropping Publisher from OGo prompted my

comes to these events & Discussions...  ;-)

I'm no expert in Plone (yet!), but I usually document
everything of interest in my user account on Docs.  As
I discover/learn stuff, I'll post it there in a
"Plone" folder.  If the Plone instance gets upgraded
to support Archetypes, then LinguaPlone is a good
product for localizing more "static content" on the
Website to different languages.  I'm looking to do
En/Fr for my website, so I'm just starting with
LinguaPlone. News could maybe be posted first in
English, and then the Translation team could post
translations (You can set it so that if there's no
localized content, English is shown by default).

Helge, on a personal note, I want to commend you for
your leadership of the project, your patience, and
your "refereeing" of things like this.  Thanks for
everything.

BTW Helge, you'll need to store some of that patience
for later... Beware the "Terrible Two's"!  :-)
