Hi chris, @all sorry for no reacting the whole day, but I was very busy and only had half an eye on the mailclient and didn't realize that I was look at the wrong list ;-) chris h schrieb: >On June 27, 2005 10:57 am, Helge Hess wrote: > >First things first; > >Mario has stepped forward to do some interesting work and this thread is >starting to move away from acknowledging his interests and intend. I am also not a friend of quick and dirty decisions on such important thinks. *We should think about the needs and requirements of the website not only in three month but also in one and two years.* I think that is necessary as no one of us would like to spend his time for a project that is thrown awy after half a year. If there is more knowledge and manpower for a Zope/Plone based website, then it might be better also to setup the website on that system. If there are no problems with the ogo server load. In any case you won't loose me as someone who is spending his spare time opn this project. I allready discussed two other subjects where I think things have to improve: First one is a kind of daemon where you could register XMLRPC callbacks for PUSH information on changes in the database. Second thing (might be adressed first) is a better GUI, which could address many of the known drawbacks. However I am also able to learn how to administer/setup/customize a Zope/Plone system, like Michael did ;-) So if Helge thinks that a Zope(/Plone) system might be better becuase of the integration with docs, workflow possibilities and more possiblites as a wiki than we should start working on that. So lets go and discuss some more ;-) Mario -- OpenGroupware.org Discussion [email protected] http://mail.opengroupware.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
