Greets; Ive put together a demo of what can be done with zope for the ogo.org site. Most data has been migrated from svn but internal links need to be corrected of course. The purpose here is simply to demonstrate _one_ solution of several. Ive made some changes to the layout on the left side bar only to highlight some redundancy. All can easily be changed now. The process followed was described previousely so I wont repeat it however UI issues will be addressed later so this preview is only for logic and layout. As zope has very strong seperation of logic and presentation, most layout issues can now be addressed via point and click. The 1px box around the navigation slot is a bug in plone that appears in moz and IE only. It will be corrected with 2.1, due out really soon now..:) A full backup is in place and copied to CD so feel free to play and test. If interested please see, http://linuxstudio.org:8080/vsites/2b and the user interface is accessible via http://linuxstudio.org:8080/vsites/2b/login_form user: testuser pswd: testuser Hardware; pentium 1.3 laptop, 600megs RAM, standard cable pipe firewalled. No perfomance enhancements in place not even apache. As time permits I will move it to the test server tomorrow. Off to bed..:) Comments, negative or positive and suggestions to the list pls. tks. /ch -- OpenGroupware.org Discussion [email protected] http://mail.opengroupware.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
