The usefulness of PGP and S/MIME in combination with a web mail client is highly doubtful since you need to transmit your private key across the net to the OGo server, something you probably don't want to do. We have recently integrated the SecSigner applet in some other project and consider adding that to OGo as well. The applet does the actual encryption on the client (using a smartcard). Summary: status isn't much better, status can't be much better due to webmail limitations and status will be better nevertheless.
