Instant OGO Question

I have installed InstantOGO to see how it works before building my  
actual OpenGroupware server.  Everything works just as described  
except for the reminders for appointments.

For example, if I have an appointment set for 5:45pm and set the  
reminder 10 minutes before, I do not receive any type of notification  
(e-mail, or pop-up) concerning the appointment.

I am guessing I have something configured wrong.
