I do not see any e-mail being sent when skyaptnotify is run. I am
able to send mail as the OGO user using the mail {someuser} command.
I have tried this for both the root user and for another user. Here
are the relevant lines from maillog. I am testing with an account
named JayHall.

And, here are the relevant lines from cron.
Aug 11 08:00:01 ogotest crond[4455]: (root) CMD (su - ogo -c "/usr/

Other things I have checked which may, or may, not matter.
The hostname is set to ogotest.mnea.org and the server is able to
resolve its hostname to the correct IP address.
There is no mail stuck in the mail queue.
/etc/hosts has the appropriate entries.
resolv.conf is using the correct DNS servers.
What else should I be looking at?
Thanks for all your help.
