Enumerating Appointment Types

Is there a way to enumerate the available appointment types via
XML-RPC?  I think not, looking at the documentation for the appointments
package.  If custom types can be defined on the server (for the web UI)
this might present a small inconvenince for a local client; would this
merit filing an enhancement request?
