I've changed the defaults actions to use the defaults domain of the 
login user (it was using just the system domain before). So it now 
allows you to retrieve defaults of a specific user as configured in the 
OGo preferences application.

Correct. This is how it is supposed to work and not a bug in the 
current or previous implementation. If you need the default in multiple 
servers, you need to configure it in the NSGlobalDomain, as Bjoern 
correctly mentions.

Don't forget to delete it in the OpenGroupware domain, otherwise you 
get inconsistent data.
