[OSCOM] 3 main actions

Hi,

at LinuxTag 2006 beginning of May, the following persons met and 
discussed the main actions they would like to perform within OSCOM:

- Daniel Hinderink (Typo3)
- Bård Farstad (eZ publish)
- Alexander Kempkens (Joomla!)
- Sandro Groganz (eZ publish)
- Boris Kraft (Magnolia)
- Robert Lemke (Typo3)
- Christian Wenz (PHP consultant)
- (hope I did not forget anyone)

We suggest the following 3 main actions:

- Elect a new president for OSCOM
- Organize OSCOM event in fall 2006
- Multimedia exchange protocol


* Elect a new president for OSCOM *

The idea is to have one person who can represent OSCOM, coordinate and 
push related efforts. This is thought to be the first remedy to get 
organized again.

Tasks and responsibility:

I (Sandro Groganz) will come up with suggestions on the election date 
and process. This will happen in the 2nd half of June as I'll be too 
busy until then. If anyone else got ideas, feel free to come up with 
suggestions.

Please notice that I am on vacation May 25-June 11.


* Organize OSCOM event in fall 2006 *

Alexander Kempkens and Daniel Hinderink would like to organize an event 
in fall. They suggested that this could maybe be done in Norway and Bård 
Farstad could help finding a suitable location.

Tasks and responsibility:

Alex and Daniel will come up with suggestions concerning the event.


* Multimedia exchange protocol *

Bård Farstad suggested that OSCOM could jointly work on a Multimedia 
Exchange Protocol for asset exchange between CMSs. It is important that 
we get a wide buy-in here, i.e. that relevant organizations and 
companies officially support this specification effort.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Bård will come up with an early draft.
