Given we don't have infinite resources in terms of money, volunteers and time, opening to everyone won't be a solution unless they are willing to volunteer time and resources. Like food cooperative, you can be members if you are willing to put some time and effort (specific effort according to the charters). Suppose you work at the checkout, you are entitled to food discount. Perhaps, we can get goodies and auctions. All those developers can give OSCOM blocks of time, we can auction. Suppose I want some work done Plone module, I will buy at auction and use developer's time. That is good for developer to create new relationship and good for the winner. I am not suggesting this at the moment but as an example. Like BarCamp, we can hold regional camps. Less travelling is good for the earth! We can hold camps on university needs or what not. > Cheers > > Daniel > > > > _______________________________________________ > General mailing list > [email protected] > http://oscom.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/general > _______________________________________________ General mailing list [email protected] http://oscom.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/general
