RE: [OSCOM] what is a CMS? CMS categories (was: Blog != CMS)

Based on my general experience with content management tools, I would 
say that one that is usable for an individual, would have some of 
the features used by an organization with many users of the tool.
That means the features provided by the tool for an individual user
would be a subset of the features a full blown version of the product
would have. 
For example, the individual user may want to turn off the workflow, 
where as it still needs to use versioning.
On the other hand the single user may still want to use the workflow
in order to distinguish content that is in draft, editorial, or final
review, all stages being done by the same person.
In that case, it will be advantageous to keep many of the features 
selectable by the end user.

Just some thoughts ..

Yes, that's exactly my understanding.
