It is true that TYPO3 has that kind of flavor, but mainly when it comes to configuration and extension of TYPO3. An average training for editors takes not more than 4 hours and usually includes creating any kind of content plus some advanced functions like sending a newsletter. Yes, we keep on comparing TYPO3 with a 747 airplane - it takes some time learning to handle it but in the end you have many possibilites. If that is too much you better go for a bicycle.
