but oscom claims to promote open source, for which the licenses must be
osi compliant otherwise people may rightly feel mislead.

your license seems to be a borderline case, it may be osi complaiant, or
there may be some details which are not. one of the points for osi is to
allow us (not only oscom but any user of free software) to rely on them
to verify for us that a license is really free.

if we would not do that than every one of us would need to hire a lawyer
to make that verification ourselves.

it creates limitations?
if the source is available under the gpl then there are no further
limitations, there are only additional rights coming from another
license.

if it is the same philosophy, model, then why bot be osi compliant?
strength comes from standing united. we have way to many licenses as it
is already, that is confusing the customer.

as long as oscom claims to promote open source, any non osi compliant
license would be confusing to oscom visitors.
