Plone 2.1 is in alpha stage. As a developer, I'm using it everyday, but 
we still don't advice its use in production (for obvious reasons). 
However, to use LinguaPlone you don't need to wait for Plone 2.1. You 
can use it NOW installing Plone 2.0 and ATContentTypes.

I need to say that LinguaPlone is not a perfect solution yet, but It is 
best solution for multi-lingual content that I know (at least on the 
Plone world).
