[OSCOM] need informations about choosing CMS methods for diploma thesis

Hi All!
i'm Student and need for my diploma thesis informations about standard choosing tools for CMS if some exists. For a special whitepaper or some other documents i'm very thankful for  any help.  
I have found only CMS Matrix. 

Many experts advise to know requirements on CMS is needed and i do it. I have also to cause my decision. There are some  general lines:	
modular build
flexible roles and groups based ajustable permission system 
aid PHP5
not very complex interface to build extensions
chance to build PDF files from html (not realy needed)
At the time is drupal my favorit. There are many others requirement, but this isnt a problem.  
Perhaps exists some other methods than CMS Matrix? 
Where is the best CMS Matrix because there many sites with Matrixs?

There is many points to compare till 10 Systems and a large numbers of Open Source CMS

There some mix of commercial  (about 120 numbers) and Open Source Tools. I think more commercial couse of lack many famost open source CMS. I dont know why? May be couse  the entry of CMS is in the hand the producers.  A productfinder is given.

A very powerfull tool to choose a CMS.

http://www.oscom.org have a small list of CMS. Why?

Do i have forget some other site?
Exist there an official Matrix? 
How do you choose a CMS if you must?   

I dont know how the sites fill the DBMS. Some sites offer the producer to send the data and by others is nothing to find about.


On all offered Matrix is very difficult to say this one includes most tools and has the best compare functions. I need help from expert and i fhink OSCOM is the best contact in this case.


My idea is: first to pick some number along general lines and then choose the best of them with best premisses.
