Getting rid of these phrases does improve things... we should do just that 
and use a more generic term (as you suggested).

As the Spanish translator, I can add that it's always better to use strings 
like:
"This whatever %s, something else". So that we can use the %s to better 
translate those strings -- as they do in other projects...
