Language bugs: phpslash-0.8alpha

Wow, and I thought that the bugs problems were taken cared off... i just 
realize that if I go to a .8 based site with my browser set to a language 
other than whatever is set in config.ini.php for the given site, then one 
sees a totally different site with messages showing in e/a header...
Note that this is a default instalation of phpslash with unmodified "themes" 
directory. i.e. there is a single directory "en" which has all themes and 
the theme defaults to "clean".

If your browser is set to English, then you will see the right page. Other 
languages (at least French) show a different version.

Ideas anybody?
