At this point, after commiting whatever else you got fixed (I have commited 
all my changes), it would be good to remove the alpha release and make a new 
one. I will try to use a different workstation (with the latest and greatest 
instalation of apache 1.3 and php4, to see how it behaves...
And to try to find bugs in other areas...

Let me know what you think.

However, the current alpha has release has to go :-) too many problems.
