node id

Hello,

I haven't checked this yet in psl8, but in psl7 there is a unique value
for which is assigned to anything which you would want to assign
comments to (stories & polls at the moment I believe).  

Hopefully there will be more swapable modules between BE & PSL in the
future and I was wondering what folks would think of an node id to be
used to identify all objects.

It's an idea that Evan has brought up on the BE dev list while looking
at drupal.  

Do folks think that this might be useful?
