Howdy, all.
Recently set up an installation of PHPSlash and am having trouble
getting the url or rss block types to pull data down. They both
exhibit the same behavior, namely that they'll complain (only if
errors=on, of course) that whatever URL I point them to contains no
data. Here's the relevant setup:
Type: url
Site Location: http://davedembinski.com/personal/randLinks.php
Source URL: http://davedembinski.com/personal/randLinks.php
Expire Length: 0
Data: <empty>
Order Number: 100
column: left
errors: on
What I get is a block displayed on the left, with the following
message in it: Block_render_url.class:
http://davedembinski.com/personal/randLinks.php contained no data.
"Fine," I think. "Maybe there's something wonky about that script."
However, I've tried pointing this block to everything I could think of,
even pages I'm currently staring directly at, and it still comes back
with the same error every time.
I've looked through the mailing list archives, and found some
references to a problem with rss that sounded similar ("Showing RSS
newsfeeds" was the name of the thread), which gave me the errors=on
idea, but didn't help resolve the problem. Does it sound like there's
something wrong with my setup?
Thanks for your time,
Dave Dembinski
