Hi Jonny (again ;-) ) I read you about facets. But do we use facets here ? … can’t we have a "sort order by : " option that would add a sorting to the query/results ? > On 9 Mar 2021, at 12:45 , Jonny Bradley via TikiWiki-devel <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi B again :) > > The default order for search results when using facets (aggregations) is but relevance, which when you search for a single word is somewhat meaningless and yes, all the old stuff is jumbled up with new stuff. I've discussed this with clients in the past and looked into adding a "script" field to assist the relevance, like adding priority for things with a date nearest to "now" but never got it working. > > At least all tiki objects have a common date field now. > > If anyone else knows how to do it please let me know! :) > > jb > > > >> On 9 Mar 2021, at 06:17, Bsfez Tiki via TikiWiki-devel <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> Hello, >> >> In general on Tiki websites and on the forum the search results displays a lot of archived, older posts, pages, etc. >> >> For the forum (not sure about the rest) shouldn’t we sort the results by lastmodif date so last post appears on the top ? >> I went at https://tiki.org/tiki-admin.php?page=search#contentadmin_search-2 and couldn;t find a way to do it. >> >> Thoughts ? >> >> Bernard >> >> _______________________________________________ >> TikiWiki-devel mailing list >> [email protected] >> https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tikiwiki-devel > > > > _______________________________________________ > TikiWiki-devel mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tikiwiki-devel _______________________________________________ TikiWiki-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tikiwiki-devel
