That's strange. My message didn't make it to the list. Here it is again: Am Dienstag, den 13.04.2021, 12:27 -0400 schrieb Marc Laporte: > Another idea: I vaguely remember that the MediaWiki to Tiki importer > doesn't convert wiki syntax (because it was very complex), but instead > reads HTML and converts to Tiki. > > If this is the case, maybe starting from there would be simpler? I've tried this. There is a html to Tiki converter package available in the Ubuntu package archives. It's named "libhtml-wikiconverter-tikiwiki-perl". Probably that's what the MediaWiki to Tiki importer uses. It messed up the headings, and of course, couldn't convert my MoinMoin macros, as they get rendered to HTML when the page is retrieved. I make heavy use of the ListPages macro, which makes a list of page whose names match a regular expression. I need to convert this to a call to a corresponding Tiki plugin. (Haven't found a completely satisfactory solution for that yet.) I also use the TableOfContents macro a lot, which needs to converted as well. I've started to play around with Definite Clause Grammars and to develop a parser. I've learned and have become quite productive. In the end, writing a Moin parser isn't that bad - if you have the right tools. ;-)) Thanks for your thoughts.
