Thanks Xavi et all for all your efforts!
Actually, I would like to recommend FASTPANEL as a very good tool for any Ubuntu or Debian newbie, and, I think, even for a seasoned Tiki admin.I just had to adapt to some things with nginx and fastpanel mysql (eg same database user name and tiki login admin) At the beginning for some reasons I was not able even to run tiki-check.php and tiki installer/database connection was looping without proper info.. I hope someone will find some time to improve it radically...I haven't done full installation of tiki yet on a new host but I was able to trasfer my several tikis and a couple of wordpress websites from archlinux host. And I will never go back to the manually tuned apache configurations...nginx gives much more possibililties. Eg easy traffic shaping, hsts, http2 and more. Maybe it will be usefull for some users.
Best regards,Aris

Hi Aris and all
(better later than never)
I contributed to keep a list updated implicitly at the doc page for ubuntu installs, which lits packages needed for most tiki installs (depending on tiki version and ubuntu version)

Have you tried looking at tiki-check.php to see if it says anything useful?

PHP is working ok and phpmyadmin is working and I've made the database, so I'm not sure why the failure but was thinking I should at least be sure that the necessary PHP extensions are there.
