Thanks Jonny, I confirm it works. I was able to create the new categ Tiki version :: 24.x (future trunk...)
Imho, the cloud+down+arrow icon looks like offering to download something. Better than before, even if some icon meaning some calculator (or numbers? ) would fit better? In any case, better than before, so thanks heaps!

Last night i committed this https://gitlab.com/tikiwiki/tiki/-/commit/1c95f0fd which seems to work and now https://dev.tiki.org/tiki-admin_categories.php is ok again. There were two issues, one was the permissions caching was restarted every page load, so if it timed out you had to start again and it never got everything cached.

The other was the fallback to use unified search when category_browse_count_objects=n to get the object count for each category was actually slower than the database way, probably down to it having to create a connection for each count - i thought about trying to cache them all into one (or a few) big multi-queries, but didn't really know how so i put it on an AJAX call so you have to click a little cloud icon now to get the count (and it's children).

Hope that's ok, at least it loads now :)
