Thanks Ricardo. I added a comment and explanations at Gitlab and added a ticket: https://dev.tiki.org/item7833-New-dropdown-in-a-Scheduler-task-disrupt-all-previous-and-working-scheduled-action-using-a-console-command <https://dev.tiki.org/item7833-New-dropdown-in-a-Scheduler-task-disrupt-all-previous-and-working-scheduled-action-using-a-console-command> Hopefully they will be a fix before Tiki24. At least Tiki Admins in the list using the Scheduler knows what to do. Regards, Bernard PS: Added you Roberto because in my mind you are are acting as a gatekeeper (you accepted the commit) not sure there is more to do. > On 23 Sep 2021, at 0:54, Ricardo Melo <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi Bernard, > > Look like was introduced here: https://gitlab.com/tikiwiki/tiki/-/commit/a77af6f7da9f41e647de91693d8f0edbe0110616 <https://gitlab.com/tikiwiki/tiki/-/commit/a77af6f7da9f41e647de91693d8f0edbe0110616> > > probably should have also included a migration task to move the commands to the new format or at least parse the old command format on display so it does not break on edit. > > Ricardo > > On Wed, Sep 22, 2021 at 9:25 PM Bernard Sfez <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: > Hello, > > I’m not sure if it was made on purpose or it is a bug but I didn’t see any warning about this and every admin using the scheduler before Tiki23 and upgrading should know about it. > > > I’m using the scheduler with many Tikis to automatise actions using the console.php commands. > > For exemple, in almost all the Tikis I’m working on I set a scheduler task using the console command to perform “index:rebuild”. > It look like this in Tiki22 > > <Screen Shot 2021-09-22 at 23.14.11.png> > > > In Tiki23 a new dropdown was added to improve the UX and action selection. > Something nice BUT this resets the previous and existing scheduled tasks without warning. > (The first available option is selected, the previous Console command are deleted) > As this is a “fire and forget” area (you don’t visit the scheduler everyday) Tiki admins can have scheduled tack broken without any warning about it. > > This is how it look in upgraded Tiki23 (from Tiki22) > > <Screen Shot 2021-09-22 at 23.13.21.png><Screen Shot 2021-09-22 at 23.13.08.png> > _______________________________________________ TikiWiki-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tikiwiki-devel
