[Tiki-devel] WikiSuite & Tiki Manager Difficulties

Hi

I want to try to deploy WikiSuite and Tiki Manager on a server of mine to act as a development environment.

I have gotten part of the way. I followed https://wikisuite.org/How-to-install-WikiSuite <https://wikisuite.org/How-to-install-WikiSuite> as best I could, but these steps take for granted that you are deploying tiki in an internet environment. I am running this on my intranet.

So the DNS is not working as I don’t want this internet-facing and I don’t have a static IP anyhow.

So I have gotten as far as getting into Virtualmin with the IP address. But again since DNS is not working, I can only currently use the single IP, so no subdomains etc.

So I enabled tiki manager on the server domain (which is off by default) and then tried to install Tiki through the interface with Tiki Manager, but it complains that the MySQL password is wrong. Fail.

Any suggestions on how to get some intranet DNS working or just even getting the tiki manager to be able to install that Tiki would be a fantastic help. At this point, I am not sure if it's something I am doing or if some of the issues I am having are bugs.

Thanks

Brendan
