[Tiki-devel] Calling Tiki from the command line

Hi!

I'm making progress with my MoinMoin to Tiki migration program, which I call
"moin2tiki".

I've read and commented most of the lib/wiki/xmllib.php script, which
implements most of the "XML Import-Export" feature. See the page "XML-Wiki-
Import-Export" on doc.tiki.org. I've come to the conclusion that I can't use
this feature.

So my program is supposed to work like this: It parses and converts the
MoinMoin pages to Tiki. (Those are stored on disk.) The pages along with
symlinks to the attachments are stored in a directory structure.

A PHP script (moin-import.php) is placed in the Tiki root directory. This
script is called by moin2tiki. It loads the Tiki libraries and uses them to
store the pages and attachments, which it has read from the directory
structure, in the Tiki database.

The script is to be called directly from a shell, with "sudo -u www-data php
moin-import.php <path>" or something like that. It's *not* called by the web
server.

Now my question is this: Will this work? Can Tiki be accessed this way (by a
PHP script that runs from a shell/from the command line)?

Cheers,
Volker
