*#SOLVED * Sorry for all the hussle. I simply could not imagine, that the problem was with *Firefox* !!! Using Chromium all works fine. I'd be interested to understand how and why Firefox does that, but same time this seems not so much a problem for us to solve as Tiki community / developers. @Jonny As I always try to provide proper and descriptive error and issue reports, I did think the hole night what I did not yet try, but could have done ... try with another browser just for the sake of having done ... Thx everybody for the time thinking about a solution. Have been off from Tiki for too long oviously. Clear cache ok, but always try with different browser and browser engine ... ouch, could have saved a lot of time. Next time. Best regards and a nice day to the Tikiverse, Torsten Am 18.08.22 um 04:41 schrieb Torsten Fabricius via TikiWiki-devel: > Hello Jonny and everybody, > > the Installer is still fading out after connecting to the database - > independant from a provider. > Could there be a problem with db/local.php, that destroys the session ? > > This time (right now) I installed a *Tiki 21.6* from Git on my > _*local*_ Linux machine (debian based Mint 19.2) > > mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.7.27, for Linux (x86_64) > Server version: 5.7.35-0ubuntu0.18.04.2 (Ubuntu) > Apache/2.4.51 (Ubuntu) > PHP 7.4 > > 1. mkdir /var/www/html/tiki21 > > 2. git clone --depth=1 --branch=21.x > https://gitlab.com/tikiwiki/tiki.git tiki21 > > 3. sh setup.sh c & f > > 4. tiki-install.php Welcome -> Licence -> Requirements -> Database > Connection > > 5. providing the database credentials -> [Enter] -> Installer fades > out with error "Security Precaution" > > The error persists until I delete the file tiki21/db/local.php. > When I delete the local.php file, I can click through the Installer again. > At the moment I provide the db-connection and click [Enter], the > local.php will be created in the background and I am disconnected from > the installer instantly. > > So far my current findings, > > Best regards, > Torsten > > > > > Am 17.08.22 um 17:35 schrieb Torsten Fabricius via TikiWiki-devel: >> Hello Jonny, >> >> following I have an error message of a local Tiki installation ... >> here the installer is not working aswell, but different errormessage >> ...
