Hello Phil, Unfortunately, PHP 8.0 and 8.1 are not supported yet. I want you all to know that we (the Tiki developers) started very early on this. This is very frustrating as we did our job (the Tiki code) diligently. But we are, for better and worse, part of an ecosystem. It's almost all the time a fantastic ecosystem. But this time, for this topic, it's not going smoothly. Details are here: https://tiki.org/forumthread78628-Tiki-24-and-PHP-8 In my ideal World, PHP would designate the last of a series as a LTS. So PHP 5.6 and 7.4 would have been LTS. But that is not the World we live in. When we started working on PHP 8.x support in July 2020, my plan was to do it quickly and make Tiki25 have PHP 8.1 as a minimum requirement. Post-LTS versions are a great time to bump requirements as people can stay on LTS with previous requirements. I never imagined we'd be in the current situation. We now have extra work because we need to support both PHP 7.4 and PHP 8.x, and we are not yet taking advantage of PHP 8.x innovations. To make things even weirder, PHP 8.2 will soon be released. So will we ever release a Tiki version that supports PHP 8.0? Or do we skip ahead to 8.1? Or at this point, maybe even 8.2? We don't know yet. Back to your specific case: Trying to get a pre-release of Tiki25 running on Windows with PHP 8.x is not going to go smoothly. 1- Tiki 25 is not yet released 2- PHP 8.x is not supported 3- Windows is not as well supported as Linux (We have a client project on this though, so it will improve in 2023 with a cross-platform PHP version of setup.sh) Unless you enjoy debugging/coding, you are setting yourself up for a lot of frustration. Depending on how much time you want to invest, here are other courses of action that will lead to less frustration: * Most hosts permit to add multiple sites. Try PHP 8.1 on the same Linux (I presume) hosting * Find yourself another host that will support PHP 7.4 for a while. Some charge extra for this. If you or anyone reading this have some financial ressources available, we could coordinate with problematic upstream components to sponsor fixes. This would accelerate things. We are not the only ones with this challenge. According to W3Techs, PHP 7 is used by 71.2% of all the websites who use PHP.
