Hi Victor,

I understand the logic of hiding Tiki's complexity to newcomers and I also
agree that we lack a way of indicating to people who have been using a Tiki
for some time that they should consider changing the filter.
After all, they probably chose Tiki for its power.

One way I have been thinking of after reading your post is: when people do
a feature search in the admin panel, we could add an unobtrusive line which
tells them that they only see the results for the basic features due to
their configuration.
With a helpful link to the filter.
Since this would be shown for every feature search, it should be just a
line of text which does take as much room as info boxes!
Examples of what I have in mind  on top of the feature search (we need to
come up with our own text):

searching in "basic" mode):
