That sounds right, although the login from a cookie thing is a different issue i think... maybe? (that's supposed to log you in after the session has expired, but doesn't always recently, since 25.x or 26.x)

However, +1 for "prefs.session_storage=db the default"

Added session_storage:db to https://dev.tiki.org/Tiki27-Pref-Changes-Discussion (where i was still logged in by the way) and https://profiles.tiki.org/JonnyBs_Luxury_Tiki_Setup (where i wasn't ;)
