Dear Community,
We have now entered the Freeze phase for the upcoming release. At this
stage we expect:

   1. *No new features into the master branch.*
   2. Only critical bug fixes, security fixes, or urgent problems can be
   merged into the master branch
   3. Any non-critical changes should be postponed until we complete
   the branching phase.

The goal of this phase is to keep the code stable and ready for the next
phase (branching)

Thank you all for your cooperation and for helping us deliver a solid and
reliable release.
