Initially i thought the H5P one would be best, but i agree with your comments that to get it to cooperate with the Vue js uploader would be worse than adding a new separate lib.

Would you be using https://github.com/Agontuk/vue-cropperjs as the wrapper? That does seem to be pretty dead, although the main project seems quite active https://github.com/fengyuanchen/cropperjs/commits

So another +1 for cropper.js, thanks!

p.s. if you can tidy up the messy, and often unnecessary, resize options in uploads that would be a nice bonus!
