Why did you get such a feeling? First of all, I wrote a post to the Pandoc mailing list asking about support for Tiki writer, then commented here: https://dev.tiki.org/item6697-Markdown-support asking about wіkiLinigo which was mentioned years ago when I was interested for Asciidoc. Then submitted ticket (https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/issues/4825) to the Pandoc tracker on Aug 9th. After that I visited #tikiwiki and was a bit surprised to see much less people than years ago when evaluating Tiki...there I met Bernard asking about support for Chat app and mentioning my desire to have better facilities to import/export to/from Tiki which is actually the same thing expressed to you several years ago when I did encounter Tiki for the first time...and I'm still sure that by using more standard markup allowing import/export, Tiki would have more users today. Bernard suggested on Sep 29th me to create 'wishlist' which I did on Sep 30th: https://dev.tiki.org/item6827-Tiki-writer-support-for-Pandoc and a little bit earlier I sent my first post to the users-list being mostly concerned about import/export capabilites, mentioning Pandoc issue and asking about wikiLingo. I have become more fired up only after lucish mentioned: "at the recent TikiFest Montreal we discussed possibilities of adding Common Mark" in #tikiwiki considering that (finally) Tiki devs are seeing the value of support for more standard markup which could greatly help its wider adoption. Iow, initial inquiry was just testing a pulse and only after that I did some research, found some links in regard to PHP-Markdown parsers etc. based on "well, we mostly concluded it is for the future and that we could start by adding a new wikiplugin first for Markdown support which could eventually evolve in global parser support later...", found out there is (some) support for (github-flavoured) markdown in CKE which Tiki uses (I discussed that with Bernard in Open Hours yesterday)... Btw, what is, in essence, the difference in my proposal with e.g.: https://www.thewildbeast.co.uk/claws-mail/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=4057 That's why I'm a bit sad that you got the feeling that I'm pushing you or someone else to ѕo something *on my behalf*, while in reality it's just my enthusiasm trying to help further promotion of Tiki by adding, imho, important feature. Still, I do apologize for my overheated enthusiasm and promise to resist further temptations in regard. Sincerely, Gour -- Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion — at that time I descend Myself. _______________________________________________ TikiWiki-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tikiwiki-users
