Link problems in page names with double underscores

I have problems linking to pages with double underscores in them, for
example:

TheHappiest__SuperPage

The __ is automatically replaced with <strong>. This happens both when
writing it manually, or using the link-button to create the link.

Is there a way to prevent this?
