Creation of a Tiki-Based Global Covid-19 Pandemic Response Coordination Center

*THE PROBLEM*:

Tiki is clearly the world’s most powerful tool for professional online
collaborations. Sadly, very few professionals even know it exists, and far
fewer know how to set up and administrate a Tiki site.

 Across our planet hundreds of thousands of people are likely to die from
the Covid-19 pandemic due to a lack of global coordination. In the worst
case scenario (no vaccine) global deaths over the coming years could exceed
100,000,000 before herd immunity is globally established. The global
solution, necessary to prevent these unnecessary deaths, will require
enormous amounts of planning and coordination between thousands of regional
efforts. Only a Tiki can document and organize such a huge crowdsourced
project.

 We Tiki developers and administrators are the only people who truly have
both the tools and the knowledge necessary to establish the structural
foundations for this type of global collaboration. Other tools exist, and
are used, but Tiki is the best, and should be promoted.



*THE PLAN*:

This Five Point Plan is to create an extensible Tiki site specifically
designed and dedicated to assisting medical experts as they globally
collaborate on all aspects of solving this pandemic emergency.

1.                   Create the secure hierarchical membership structures
which World Health Organization (WHO) security protocols require.

2.                   Create the initial Tracker forms and data structures
for all types of members, and for the health data administrators require.

3.                   Demonstrate the types of services which become
possible only when using Tiki as the management and planning substrate.

4.                   Recruit and train the second tier of volunteer Tiki
administrators necessary to continue the expansion and smooth running of
this global effort.

5.                   Provide tools for public relations and fundraising
necessary to keep this program up & running, and to provide steady
employment for our expert Tiki administrators.



*THE SERVICES*:

There are thousands of possible services this Response Coordination Center
could provide.

A few examples include:

1.           Allow WHO scientists and other global health administrators to
register on the Tiki and assume leadership and/or advisory roles in
restructuring the Tiki’s capabilities. It is essential for them to
understand we are not a rogue organization, and that we are working only to
satisfy their needs.

2.           Allow administrators of each country’s individual disease
control center to register and create pages listing their capabilities and
needs. This is crucial for small countries who have virtually no
capabilities.

3.           Allow medical research staff to join the Tiki, and list their
laboratories, what treatments they are working on and what types of help
they require.

4.           Allow medical facility staff to join and list their
facilities, their local expected case load, and predicted need for supplies.

5.           Allow individual doctors, or their staff, to join and
anonymously list the status of all their patients and the experimental
drugs being administered. This would open up huge opportunities for data
mining.

6.           Maintain a listing of every conceivable experimental medical
treatment for Covid-19, their histories of experimental usage, and
efficacy.



*FIRST STEPS*:

1.           Respond to this email and tell others about this program. This
project won’t take off unless we have a large number of experienced Tiki
volunteers to spread out the work.

2.           Establish a private dedicated Tiki site. *We need someone to
volunteer as the host*, even if only temporarily.

3.           Democratically collaborate on choosing the initial mandatory
design features for this Tiki.

4.           Build this Global Tiki and flesh it out with how-to guides for
the different types of specialists who will be joining from all over the
globe.

5.           Invite epidemiologists and other medical experts to advise us
on exactly what they need.

6.           Resolve these needs.

7.           Include Public/Press Relations and Fundraising capabilities to
independently sustain this program.

8.           Establish sources of income for all Tiki administrators who
may currently be underemployed.



Additional Notes:

·       We can’t simply go to the World Health Organization and blindly ask
them if they want our help to start this project, because they won’t
understand Tiki’s capabilities until they actually see a fully functioning
site in action. We must first set up a good demo Tiki, and then prove to
them why they, and the World, need these capabilities and our expertise.

·       Before going public, we will need the sponsorship of WHO or similar
organizations in order to provide credibility, financial support, and to
disconnect tiki.org from any liabilities. This project will not be a new
extension of tiki.org but rather a spontaneous collaborative effort from a
group of experienced Tiki users.

·       All aspects of designing and establishing this Tiki project  are
far too complex and nuanced to be effectively discussed solely on this
forum. We must create a membership Tiki dedicated to this discussion.

·       If you feel you or your company would be willing to host our
initial Tiki site, please make this clear in your response.



*CONCLUSION*:

I am asking you to join this incredibly important endeavor because someone
must do it, and we are the only ones who know how. Besides saving lives,
this may be the one chance in a lifetime for us to do something spectacular
for all mankind, possibly forming the beginning of even more spectacular
global Tiki-based efforts.

 This project could generate a high level of positive global public
relations exposure for Tiki which could significantly jump-start Tiki
development and usage. This could in turn create a larger demand for
experienced Tiki service companies, administrators and developers.
