[Tiki-users] Permission to read (and not change) permissions?

Hi All,

Is it possible to give a user reading access to what permissions are
set on a page, without granting him/her permission to *change* these
permissions? Similar to in linux, where a user can see what the
permissions on a file are, even if (s)he cannot change the permissions
on that file...

This is a feature that is important for my organisation...

Even better would it be, if these permissions could be optionally
embedded on the page (e.g. in the bottom line, where it also shows who
has made changes - that you also see a list of people with reading
access, and those with writing access)

Use case: often, people working on projects and processes, want to know
who can see what they write. This is important for them to determine
what they write and how they formulate it. For example, a user can then
determine whether he or she wants to share sensitive information on a
page or not. However, the coordinator of the page may not want to
provide all users who have access to the page the right to change the
permission-settings, for example, to protect sensitive information.

Looking forward to your reply!

DrO
