[Tiki-users] Problems vs recent upgrades

Dear Tiki community,

I've recently upgraded from 21.2 to 21.3 and than 21.4.
I have a cosmetic problem related to the login box.
Before login the username and a password field is not in center and spans
beyond the right border of the box. After login, the logout button
position is correct. Please see attached images.
I'm using the tikinewt theme for ages.
I'd be also interested to look into it, but I have no clue where I should
look for.

The installer complained about it was unable to deserialize
memcache_servers set to "false". Setting the value to "n" turned out to be
a workaround. Although I wonder whether this adjustment would cause
problems for me later.
The error message was:
...
error: Preference memcache_servers failed to unserialize. Value was "false"
...

I faced more concerning issues while trying to upgrade to 22.1 from 21.4.
For several versions now (maybe since 16.x), the installer cannot utilize
the database connection while initiating an upgrade from a browser. The
symptom is that as I enter the database name, the user and the password,
it brings me to the screen where I can select to wipe the database or
upgrade. Upon selecting upgrade it drops back to the screen where I must
specify database connection details.
So I get used to perform upgrades in the shell like this:
...
sudo -u apache php console.php database:update
...

This worked up until now. For 22.1 it displays this error message for me:
...
  Command "database:update" is not defined.

Did you mean one of these?
      database:configure
      translation:englishupdate
      vcs:update
...

It's there in lib/core/Tiki/Command/UpdateCommand.php.
I'm not sure where it goes wrong.

Let me address another smaller cosmetic point: search box button text size
is smaller compared to other elements. I attach an image highlighting what
I'm thinking of.

For comparison I attach an images captured 3 version ago (18.4 - before a
significant bootstrap upgrade). The overall look and feel is better for me
compared to the current one. Maybe the current bootstrap theme scales
better, but if I would have to choose between 18.4 and 21.4, the former
stands closer to my taste. The latter have a larger text size in general.
That creates more line wraps in boxes. It looks also neater for me, that
the middle column have better border definition in case of 18.4 compared
to the current 21.4. I'm currently using a WUXGA display (1920x1200) and I
will soon upgrade to 4K. The situation may be different on an UHD display,
but WUXGA and FHD will be around for some time.
Again: I would happy to play around with text size and scaling or borders,
but I need some guidance regarding where to touch a bootstrap theme
(tikinewt).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all your help so far:
Dw.
