Thank you Marc for this summary.

I would like to add that the Tiki Admins are concerned and had/have related discussion regularly.
For exemple there is a topic/discussion about our huge quantity of data online and reducing noise / resources consumption during our next month meeting.

We will discuss and eventually evaluate possible outcomes.

For all the reasons above, I think we shouldn't keep 15+ years of data online all the time in a Tiki.
We should keep them archived somewhere and available as read only.

We don’t have the resources (adding more money is the easiest/bad solution - human hands are needed to maintain), keeping them properly online may require more resources (more hands, monitoring) and they may be not the essential data the Tiki project need to acquire or support new users, new admins, new developers.

BUT this is easy to say. ;-)
We need a plan as data are pages, trackeritems, files, images, etc…
We need volunteers to work section/section.
We need easy ways to check data and sort it (archiving/prune etc).

This is not a snap of the fingers...
