Hi Xavi and Happy New Year!

Smartmenus didn't work with a menu based on a structure when the feature 
was first added to Tiki, but this ability was implemented in a later 
commit. I don't know the version numbers offhand but if Smartmenus work 
with a normal Bootstrap menu at your site, but not with a 
structure-based menu, that's probably the reason why.
