I am sorry to say that perhaps my last email was a bit preemptive. I looked more into the SourceMultiAction class of cocoon and realized that is was calling the source implementation written for slide. This class, SlideSource.java appears to carry out all the desired actions. The MultiSourceAction gets a handle of the SlideSource through the SourceResolver class and then calls this Source to implement its actions. I have to look more into the SldieSource class to understand why versioning, etc. is not working right now. I am not sure if it is just still in early stage or if my config is somehow lacking. It seems that my config is in order. Either way, I think there is great potential here...I will fill all in on my findings in this area. > do you have any slide-specific wishes for wyona? > > -gregor My wish list for all this is that the revision controls, ACL, locking capabilities of slide are used for Lenya/Wyona since they seem to be very mature. Again it makes no sense to put effort into rewriting all these tools when they are freely available. This way one could use more than WYSIWYG editors like XMLSpy, OpenOffice, etc in order to manage distributed content. Also, it would be great if the content store was WEBDAV and DELTA-V conformant. Moreover, Wyona/Lenya could focus more on higher end CMS functions (i.e. the scheduler, entity-based workflow) all while cleaning the class library. Again, questions, comments appreciated. -Julian __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com
