actually I am +1, but I think we should find a way first how to separate 
the CMS core from the publications,
else we are running into the problem that the distribution is growing 
way too much. It's already
way too big :-(

If we are able to separate the CMS core (and Cocoon) from the 
publications, then people can decide themselves
what publications they want to download resp. checkout.

I have something in mind like the "products" in the Zope world.
This means people could offer their publications for download on any 
website, which
would also be important with regard to our move to Apache, because I think
we won't be able to offer all publications at Apache, only some 
well-maintained reference
publications.

I am also not sure yet if we might be able to make use of the "Cocoon 
block method".


But nevertheless could you send it to us privately then some of us could 
test it already and hence we
would be prepared.

I don't know much about Windows ;-) Have you "ssh" installed?
