Hi Markus, hi list,

at first - I didn't want to say that we need a new "corporate"
identity at all. I'm just fond of graphic design and like the
word Lenya, so I started playing around. So, from my point of
view this doesn't have to become a serious and constructive
discussion. It would be cool if we surprisingly agreed on one
logo - if not, we can just typeset Lenya in Akzidenz, that's
fine with me.

And if not - I think it's not that hard to switch because we don't
build an expensive CI around Lenya, do we? And I guess not many people
associate Cocoon, Axkit, OpenCMS, Zope etc. with their logos.

Yes, Wyona scores quite high in this area. Well, the website
could need a little facelift :) If we seriously consider a
design relaunch, we should first collect some opinions - what shall
Lenya communicate, what feelings and associations shall people
have when they look at the website?

Hmmm, I agree to a certain degree. But I think it is possible to
find a compromise between readability and originality. OK, maybe
the xindice logo is somewhat pseudo-original, but its funny.
I like it.

OK. BTW, it even looks better with less letter spacing. And I like
the relation between letters and background, it's a very decorative
font - the text almost looks like an image without being too playful.

Yes, I already thought about that, too.
