I find your idea with the tutorials very interesting. I think we 
should start it ,-)

for myself I'm using the snapshot packages, and yes, it's true there 
is always a big download. I think this is a very good way to start 
for somebody with tomcat already installed and no clue what wyona is 
all about. Download one war-file and here we go! However for the more 
advanced user, not using cvs, this might be annoying. Why not 
offering a special snapshot version only containing the relevant 
wyona-files? (as cocoon is already installed). What do the Wyonaistas 
think about that?
