I understand this too, and try to play with cocoon.
Download Cocoon2 - compile them, and after serveral fighting with
*.bat files - make offline site by CLI! (that was my dream :) )
And thing what make this possible was - "Chapter 6: A User's Look at
the Cocoon Architecture" which i took from:
http://www.newriders.com/books/product.asp?product_id={C3C05052-BE3B-4E06-A60A-13FB40AF58F6}&selectDescTypeId={5DBF6018-1234-4204-B35E-903EC67C9A3B}&st=5088D2D9-8D33-4F22-87E4-640B2B90A4F0&session_id={946447E3-EFC9-4994-98CB-3E92954E57E6}
(link from http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/news.html)

And i trust that book is excellent, and i try to believe that it will be
translated on russian, and i can read it.

And turning back,
When I installed Wyona - I dont understand where is Wyona and where
is Cocoon. What is Wyona's additionals? What files? What is Wyona's
configurations, what's Cocoon's?

And in Wyona docs must be examples for Cocoon-beginner. It's will be
not right (for me) to make link on Cocoon-site.

Ilya

ps: // Markus, sorry i not reply on previous letters - i do it.
