Slashdot.org is a site implemented with the program "Slashcode". It is supported through Slashcode.com I don't think that Michael is proposing to copy *exactly* Slashcode or PHPNuke - just do a similar application. I personally would be quite happy to move to a better system than Slashcode - but non exists yet and I don't think the Wyona dev team can build one in the timescales involved. I would be quite happy with a demo application so I can see the features of Wyona, and see how to use it. The existing demos don't help very much. >PHPNuke is definitely a really nice project and there are a lot of people >knowing Nuke! Yeah - PHP is gaining respect in my book simply because there are so many working systems using it. >I would love to help to implement a XML-Database into Wyona. This is an interesting point and very very important. I have been trying out XIndice with Cocoon and quite like it BUT it isn't very efficient. I will talk more about this in a new email. It is not good to change subject in the middle of an email.
