Well, we are currently using/featuring 2.1-dev (I have to admit a pretty 
old version of 2.1-dev) and we will probably stick to this version 
although we want to update 2.1-dev on a more regular basis.

But you are right it would make a lot of sense that people could 
actually use whatever Cocoon version they want. It should be not very
difficult, because there are hardly any dependencies, but I will 
probably apologize for this sentence very soon ;-)

I hope we will have soon some time too write at least a tutorial how
to deploy "your own Cocoon" version.
